A superb team performance gave Riccall their first 3 points of the league season. The points were assurred through a good headed goal from Charlie Precious, followed by an excellent 4 goal display from Taylor Moore, including a brilliant 20 yards free kick.

Next game is at home on Saturday 13th October.

Collingham U10’s 2 – 0 Riccall Utd U10’s

After a bright start and Riccall applying constant pressure in the home teams penalty area, following several corners and a shot hitting the post, a deflected shot at the other end gave the home team a 1 nil lead against the run of play. Again, with mounting pressure from a dominant Riccall side a breakaway smash and grab goal from the home side gave them a 2-0 half time lead.

On a hot day with both teams tiring in the second half a series of shots and missed chances by Riccall resulted in a goalless second half, giving the home team a winning start to the 2012-2013 campaign.

All players gave tremendous effort and were unlucky not to come away with anything.

Riccall Utd will play in a friendly game on Saturday 15th against Riccall School as the opening fixture of the new Westfield Sportsfield Opening Day. Kick off at 1.30pm. Players are to meet at 1.00pm at the new pitch’s, Blue kit.
