The Under 12's Blacks was formed in the 2021/22 season. Following an influx of new players, the team was split into two - Reds and Blacks for the second part of the 2022/23 season.

Meet the Coaches - Mike Nielsen
Mike has been coaching since the 21/22 season when the year group formed a 2nd team and followed them from 5 a-side, through 7 a-side and they are now about to start their first season at 9 a-side.
Mike has completed his FA introduction to coaching football, safeguarding & first aid qualifications.
He loves to see the kids learning how to be part of a team. He also likes to show how important attitude and practice are to becoming successful. Mike also likes to promote keeping healthy through physical exercise and doing something they enjoy.

Paul Younger

Paul's son Nathan started playing for the Blacks at the start of the 2025/26 season and at the end of this season Paul was asked if he wanted to help. Paul completed the FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification, Safeguarding and First Aid In Football certificates and is enjoying being part of the coaching set up and helping to coach the group. Paul's other son Cameron also plays for Riccall United in the Under 14 Vikings team

Jack White
Really proud to be involved with such a great club, coaching the U12s and playing for the senior team. I also coach with York City Academy and Aspire Football Academy, where I enjoy helping young players develop and reach their potential.
