The Under 11's team was formed for the start of the 2022/23 season. It is their fifth season so they are looking to continue developing the players technical ability and focus on building a good team ethic.

Kai Crawshaw
Hi, I'm Kai, I've been involved with Riccall United since 2022, when I took on the coaching duties for the then U7 team. Currently I am still involved with the now U11 team, but my role is mainly admin based, as I leave the coaching and matchdays to Dan, Martyn and Andy.

Dan Palmer
I’m Dan, a nurse by background, and football has been part of my life since I was young. I also played roller hockey for Middlesbrough and England, and the England camps and World Championships gave me loads of coaching ideas and fitness drills that I still use today. I got involved with Riccall United when my son started playing at six—mostly because I offered to carry a bag of balls one day, and that was it, I was part of the team. Coaching the Under‑11s and Under‑6s is something I genuinely love. I’m planning to do my referee badge soon and take more coaching courses so I can keep giving the kids the best possible experience

Martyn Gilleard
Family man, youth football coach, and passionate Manchester United supporter. I enjoy helping young players develop both on and off the pitch, while spending quality time supporting my two sons in the game they love.

Andrew Rowbottom
I’m a proud family man and dad of three, a lifelong Nottingham Forest supporter, and a coach at Riccall United U11s. I really enjoy helping young players learn, develop and grow, both as footballers and as individuals. For me, football is about more than just winning — it’s about attitude, teamwork and learning from every experience. My coaching approach is simple: effort beats talent when talent doesn’t put in the effort.
