The 2024/25 season was the first season for the Sharks. Two teams were set up due to the number of players that wanted to take up football and that was the best way of giving everyone as much playing time as possible.

Meet The Coaches
James Skelton
James is a huge football fan, watching it whenever I can and playing 6 a side twice a week. He loves volunteering for Riccall United, starting in May 2023, and been with the team for 2 years now. His aim is to not only help the kids with football skills, but confidence building, making friends and developing as people. If the kids leave every training session and match day having had fun then that’s success for James!
John Shearsmith
John helps coach the Riccall United U7 Sharks. He has been playing football since I was 10 and still plays 6-a-side. Before joining Riccall United, John helped set up and coach a team in an open-age inclusive league in Hull, where players of all abilities and disabilities came together to enjoy the game. For John, it’s all about the kids having fun, making friends, and improving as a team. Seeing them grow together on and off the pitch is what it’s all about.
