Hi, my name is Alastair and I have managed this group of players since we started league football in 2023. I live in Escrick with my wife, daughter and son (and too many pets). I am ably assisted by Coach James who leads all of you training sessions with further support from Assistant Coaches Dan & Lee. All four of us have been with the team since it started. In my spare time I am also the Selby League Age Secretary, keeping a close eye on results across the divisions to ensure teams are matched on similar ability levels as best as possible.

Daniel Bard

Hi I’m Daniel, and I’ve been helping with this group of players for the last few seasons. I have throughly enjoyed watching them all grow as footballers, and young people. They are a great group of players, who train and play hard, but also just have fun playing the beautiful game. It is a pleasure to come alongside and assist the other three coaches Alastair, James, and Lee who do a fantastic job training and preparing the team. I live in Fulford, with my wife Sarah and five sons, three of which play and are mad about football! In my spare time I volunteer as a youth leader at my local church, and also love to get down to the LNER to support the Red and Blue Army!

James Hopwood

Living in Escrick with my wife and three children, I’ve played sport all my life and know the positive impact it can have from a young age. Now, as Coach for Riccall FC U10s, my focus is on instilling strong sporting values in our young players, fostering a supportive team culture, and helping each player develop their game to the very best of their ability.

Lee Bibby

Hi I’m Lee, I am part of the coaching group helping our players improve, learn and have fun. It has been fantastic to see them develop their skills, teamwork and work hard for each other on the pitch. This was what I loved growing up playing team sports and I am proud to support these kids in that journey with Alastair, James, and Dan. I live in Barmby-on-the-Marsh with my wife Rachel and my son Bodie (who plays for the team) is totally sport mad and our three dogs. In my spare time I also coach rugby for Selby RUFC and am working myself back to running and fitness training after breaking my kneecap in Dec 2025.
